Anders Nilsen, the writer and artist of Big Questions and Don’t Go Where I Can’t Follow, appears at Floating World Comics on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6 PM to celebrate the release of his new book, Tongues Number Two, with an art show and signing.
The second issue of Tongues draws readers deeper into the enigmatic, interconnected stories of a god imprisoned on a mountainside, an eagle – his apparent jailor, and a young American wandering into trouble in the wilderness with a teddy bear. We also move back in time to watch our young East African protagonist as she experiences violent and peculiar visions of her frightening near future, and meet a handsome, malevolent young swan with dark appetites. Tongues is part adventure and part meditation on humanity’s fraught present moment and its peculiar evolutionary heritage.
